Itinerary
You reach Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. Our driver picks you up from the airport or railway station. You check in at the hotel and take some rest. Later, you start your city tour. You visit Marina Beach, one of the longest beaches in India. Then you visit Kapaleeshwarar Temple, a famous Shiva temple built in Dravidian style. You also see the San Thome Church and Fort St. George. In the evening, enjoy South Indian dinner. Stay overnight in Chennai.
After breakfast, you drive to Mahabalipuram. On the way, you visit Dakshina Chitra, a heritage museum that shows South Indian culture. You reach Mahabalipuram and check in to your hotel. Then you explore this ancient town. You visit Shore Temple, built near the sea. You see Pancha Rathas, five stone chariots carved from a single rock. You also see Arjuna’s Penance, a large rock carving. Spend the evening on the beach. Stay overnight in Mahabalipuram.
Start your day early and drive to Tanjore. Enjoy the scenic journey with fields and village views. You reach Tanjore and check in to your hotel.
